Ovi Suite Woes..

Well as most of you know i was one of the early adopters of Ovi suite. It was working fine for me for quite some time untill i did a windows update last night.

Now when i click on Ovi it loads, but the whole "white bar" interface refuses to show up. Meaning it is displayed in the taskbar and system tray but on the desktop i get nothing. I cant send files or install them, interact with my phone etc... Nothing!

I tried uninstalling, deleting the remaining files, deleting it's registry entries and reinstalling but no go. Can i get some help now please?

Do you have system restore enabled?? Can you try restoring to a point before the Windows Updates were applied??

Also try logging in as a different users on your PC and see if it works... If that works, reboot, login as a user with administrator previlleges (not your own account though) rename your profile under C:\Documents and Settings\ reboot and login as yourself.. It will reset your profile and settings, but you'll be able to copy out all your documents etc out of the old profile..

Are you running Windows Vista? As I did the SP1 update and this caused my laptop to just blue screen and reboot. I had to cause a major f**k up so it would run the system startup restore and do a point from before.

I think Windows have messed up the Vista SP1 Pack.

How are you connecting? If it's with bluetooth will it work over USB?

Other than backing up and reinstalling, fully patching your computer before reinstalling not much more I can suggest mate.
