first of all thanks!! what an awesome program.

Does anybody have an issue where you literally CAN'T do anything else while on mobbler? When i have mobbler on, and hide it in the background, anytime I try to press a button it would create a "pause" during the song. It's not my connection because my 3G works perfectly. If i leave mobbler on at the background and don't touch my phone, the song plays perfectly.

I check on taskman and i have plenty of RAM left...

aww ok so I just found something out that is upsetting with Last.FM the loved tracks which I have been selecting quite a bit can only be listened to if you have a subscription to Last.FM 2.50 euro a month same with recommended. But good news is that you can select not only artist, but the tag (i.e. blue, rnb, rap, etc...), user, and personal. This is cool because Personal Library is pretty much anything that has played by you selecting the options above. So if you listen to a station alot you like it most likely saved to your library and you can just select a new station....personal and it will play all of them.

What a cracking program! Just hope it doesn't fizzle out - I would happily pay a subscription to this service! The music library seems huge and some of the tunes it's pullling out are ones I've not heard for years, some I've failed to find! Marvellous!

THANKS! (Yes, I'm shouting thanks!)

It's Broke?

Did you know that your Nokia comes with a 2 year warranty? Did you know that Carphone Warehouse are Nokia Repair Centres?
Damage from normal use: wobbly slider, broken keys, quiet earpiece etc... will be repaired for free, and usually the same day if you take it to a big store!

As you say there shouldn't be a problem. I found this on t'internet:

"Q: Will other RF (Radio Frequency) devices interfere with Bluetooth Devices?
A: No. Bluetooth radios operate on the unlicensed 2.4 GHz (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) frequency band that is shared among other devices (microwave ovens, cordless phones, garage door openers, etc. ). Bluetooth radios switch frequencies at such a rapid pace (1,600 times per second) and the data packets are so small that interference from other RF sources is highly unlikely. Bluetooth is a robust communication system."

That said, we know that DECT phones anihalate WIFI in close proximity....

"Q: Will Bluetooth and Wireless LAN (WLAN) interfere with each other?
A: No, both Bluetooth and WLAN can co-exist. Since Bluetooth devices use Frequency Hopping and most WLANs use Direct Sequence Spreading techniques they each appear as background noise to the other and should not cause any perceivable performance issues."

However. I too am having serious problems with the streaming when using A2DP streaming on my S9's and Blackbox. It get's to 20 seconds or so, then buffers again....

I've tried altering the AP channel from 1 right upto 11, but it makes no odds, as stated above, Bluetooth seems to have the full use of this range and should hop around to find the best segment, but in practice, it doesn't work so well. As soon as I disconnect from the Streaming device, the music plays uninterrupted.

Would be interested to hear if anyone's managed it and using which Wifi Channel.

I use mobbler all the time too :)

It works fine on 3G, certainly much better now that I have upgraded my firmware to V30.

Data use is just 16 to 18 KB/s when listening to the last.fm stations so it comes in at around at slightly under a MB per minute. Upload speed is very small.

If you leave the mobbler open and don't use the radio function it scrobbles your tracks and sends the track information to your last.fm profile, very low data usage on this.

This is by far the best 3rd party application out there!

I can use other apps on 3g in my area. I have mobbler playing in the background while I use the web. I guess it could depend on how much usage your network has on it I would think. That would determine your up/down speed.
