If you love Music you need this!!!

I haven't had a music program that I have used this much. I downloaded Mobbler to help out a fellow member with a wifi bluetooth problem and cannot stop using it. Yes, it is a internet radio program but to me it is simply a Pandora radio in a different version. The speaker on my N95-3 is more than loud enough to just let it play when I am on Xbox, Sitting in my bedroom, etc... I have hooked it up to my Klipsch Ipod dock in the aux slot and it sounds great also. If your looking for a program that gives you unlimited potential for random music by a certain genre this is it or you save songs as your "Loved Tracks" and listen to just them later.

Go to this link to download...Mobbler

Go to this link to sign up for Last.FM

When you install it, use your Last.FM log in to sign in under details in the options screen on the phone and then you can begin to search stations. I use this with my Wifi at home. If you have used it before let us know your experiences, I would love to hear it.

Yes, i always just use the artist selection because I am in the mood for a certain type of music. type in the artists name and then listen to your hearts content.

listening to r&b right now in the office on wifi plugged into my computer speakers.

Yes there shouldn't be a problem I use it on my wifi at home all the time no problems. Heck I use it at work with computer speakers. ATT is gonna hate me after how much data I use on my plan.

Can't we use our original Music player?...Because the player used in Mobbler sucks imo...We can only go forward and not go back.

Adam Shoes,if I connect on my home WiFi router, and listen to it,I just wanna know who gets stuck with the bill: my mobile company,or my ISP (that's better of course, because I'm paying for a flatrate data plan).
I'm afraid that my next mobile bill could be a whopper, but it shouldn'be,right??I'm using wifi to connect, and not the phone's network.

first of all thanks!! what an awesome program.

Does anybody have an issue where you literally CAN'T do anything else while on mobbler? When i have mobbler on, and hide it in the background, anytime I try to press a button it would create a "pause" during the song. It's not my connection because my 3G works perfectly. If i leave mobbler on at the background and don't touch my phone, the song plays perfectly.

I check on taskman and i have plenty of RAM left...

aww ok so I just found something out that is upsetting with Last.FM the loved tracks which I have been selecting quite a bit can only be listened to if you have a subscription to Last.FM 2.50 euro a month same with recommended. But good news is that you can select not only artist, but the tag (i.e. blue, rnb, rap, etc...), user, and personal. This is cool because Personal Library is pretty much anything that has played by you selecting the options above. So if you listen to a station alot you like it most likely saved to your library and you can just select a new station....personal and it will play all of them.

What a cracking program! Just hope it doesn't fizzle out - I would happily pay a subscription to this service! The music library seems huge and some of the tunes it's pullling out are ones I've not heard for years, some I've failed to find! Marvellous!

As you say there shouldn't be a problem. I found this on t'internet:

"Q: Will other RF (Radio Frequency) devices interfere with Bluetooth Devices?
A: No. Bluetooth radios operate on the unlicensed 2.4 GHz (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) frequency band that is shared among other devices (microwave ovens, cordless phones, garage door openers, etc. ). Bluetooth radios switch frequencies at such a rapid pace (1,600 times per second) and the data packets are so small that interference from other RF sources is highly unlikely. Bluetooth is a robust communication system."

That said, we know that DECT phones anihalate WIFI in close proximity....

"Q: Will Bluetooth and Wireless LAN (WLAN) interfere with each other?
A: No, both Bluetooth and WLAN can co-exist. Since Bluetooth devices use Frequency Hopping and most WLANs use Direct Sequence Spreading techniques they each appear as background noise to the other and should not cause any perceivable performance issues."

However. I too am having serious problems with the streaming when using A2DP streaming on my S9's and Blackbox. It get's to 20 seconds or so, then buffers again....

I've tried altering the AP channel from 1 right upto 11, but it makes no odds, as stated above, Bluetooth seems to have the full use of this range and should hop around to find the best segment, but in practice, it doesn't work so well. As soon as I disconnect from the Streaming device, the music plays uninterrupted.

Would be interested to hear if anyone's managed it and using which Wifi Channel.

I use mobbler all the time too

It works fine on 3G, certainly much better now that I have upgraded my firmware to V30.

Data use is just 16 to 18 KB/s when listening to the last.fm stations so it comes in at around at slightly under a MB per minute. Upload speed is very small.

If you leave the mobbler open and don't use the radio function it scrobbles your tracks and sends the track information to your last.fm profile, very low data usage on this.

This is by far the best 3rd party application out there!

I can use other apps on 3g in my area. I have mobbler playing in the background while I use the web. I guess it could depend on how much usage your network has on it I would think. That would determine your up/down speed.

Hey, having a problem with this... I succesfully installed Mobbler on my N95-4, and also entered in my details, but after this when I tried to switch to online mode, it does not connect via wifi or my regular data plan service on 3g network.. it gives me the error of "There is an error with your data connection <connect> forbidden"

Can anyone please help with this error? This app sounds really good, any help would be appreciated, thanks!

yea a lot of people are having this problem. We have had debates on here where some feel it is the bluetooth and wifi frequencies and other feel it is the phone not being able to process the information fast enough to transmit. Hopefully something gets fixed on that, soon.

hey I've noticed that sometimes when I use this app,my wifi router reboots all of a sudden?!
Could it be that I'm downloading-watching IPTV-and using Mobbler at the same time?

Should I avoid doing this,am I overloading my router???

@gnjuss - I would think so your router can only perform so much data transfer at a time. I know if my wife downloads torrent files my xbox live works like crap and its hard wired to the router. Its just a matter of the up/down speeds your network can handle. As far as rebooting on its own, I honestly cannot comment on that, not sure what is going on there but the slowing would be because your using so much of your network at a time.

Can any one help me out on this? I'm a big fan of last FM so I'm really keen to install mobbler. I've download the file but it won't install, says there is a certificate problem

I look at the intructions and it says If you get a certificate error when installing Mobbler, it probably means that your phone does not accept self signed applications. You will need to go to the application manager on your phone and change the software installation setting from signed only to all.

Mine is set to all, but it still won't work. Is this an N79 bug, a Mobbler problem, or is it just me?

    Thanks

UPDATE EDIT - Sorted it out by messing around with dates on the phone, and now it has installed
