    N 808 PureView

As the arrival of the N808 is imminent, will there be a dedicated sub forum for this model?

I like this forum, been on here for years, but its getting quieter and quieter. The Pureview has been out for a good few weeks, if not months in some parts of the world.

An 808 Pureview section should have been up and running a long time ago.

I agree entirely. I have always gained excellent info from these forums since becoming a nokia user many years ago.

Surely the last innovative symbian handset should have its own thread?

BTW. My 808 arrived on 12th July after being on order at amazon since mid-may. Very pleased with it. I also got the mini hdmi connector cable, and the Amzer soft gel case.

Its a worthy companion to my orange N8, blue N9, blue 360 speakers, lumia n900 batphone. You could say that I`m a true Nokia fanboy!!

Still no sign of a Pureview section?! - I'm finding myself wandering off to Daily mobile forums more and more for my Nokia news including Pureview news.

Nothing to do with the mods, 93tid has already requested it.

Just had a browse around that forum - interesting. Had a look at the 808 stream on Flickr - some amazing shots on there. Just a shame it is so ridiculously expensive.

There is a lot of interest in the Pureview- might not be the best selling Nokia- but its caught a lot of peoples imagination.
Quite why NokiaUsers isn't at the forefront covering this is beyond me.

So tempted to buy one Cambo- I'd actually preordered then got an email just before I was going on holiday to say it was delayed -so i wouldnt have it for my holiday- so i cancelled.
Now, they seem to have hiked to the price on Amazon, so I'm not paying £20 more.

I'll get one eventually no doubt- but my N8 is still doing the business for me.
Great to hear your recommend it though. Enjoy!

Still no dedicated N808 Pureview section.

    Why?

Any chance of a mini-review from you about what you like about the 808 and why? Also surprised there isn't a subforum for this phone already and it's now August.

Anybody figure out how to change the default share option? I'd rather use flickr/youtube than Facebook

Never thought about it but just had a bit of a dabble to see the issue you are on about. A couple of things strike me:

[1] Flickr is not technically a 'Social' net which Farcebook and ****er are.
[2] I have an App provided for YouTube.

You can probably get the apps for the services you want from their websites.

I cannot find any way to add to the Social unless it auto includes when you register/logon to a Social site.

    Cheers

You can share directly with Flickr when you go to gallery then select the pic then when you press the share option you get Facebook and Flickr upload choices

Problem is that share is 2 taps away, making flickr/youtube a third tap. Facebook is front and center when in the gallery. Would be nice if flickr/youtube were there instead.
