    I saw that- i've already got 113.010.1506.

I've had that software for a few months now- wasn't sure if that 'news' was actually a mistake- perhaps a new country varient only just been released.

Hopefully a new update- but I'm not convinced.

1508 got pulled. Didn't help with the 3.5G bug.

Where did you hear about it being pulled?I can't find any info on that. Also in Nokia discussions, there was no mention of the update being about the alleged 3g bug

Based on this, nothing to get excited about:

Not on navifirm. I wanted to try the UK version and 1507 is the highest number. Didn't help with my 3G issue either.

If I have an active 3.5G data connection, I am subject to random reboots. If I switch to regular 3G or down to 2G, no problems.
The worst would be when I'm driving and using Drive and the 808 would just reboot.

It's too bad nobody develops for Symbian anymore. One of the Profile manager apps could be updated to toggle 3g/2g like they do backgrounds or themes during a profile change.

Seems to be predominantly evident in the US and on AT&T, with only a few occurences elsewhere.

I have to remember to manually switch the 3G off before driving.
When driving, the 808 connects to the stereo via bluetooth and switches to my custom "Car" profile. Calls can come through, but email and sms tones are off. It would be nice if 3G could be switched to 2G automatically like this.

This excerpt from the (very) short changelog for 1508 should explain why you did not have the 3.5G problem resolved:

The purpose of this release is to meet the EU audio requirement that is required for CE mark after Jan 23rd, 2013.

    2. NEW FEATURES AND APPLICATIONS / UPDATES TO EXISTING APPLICATIONS / NEW FEATURES None

    3. CHANGES AND IMPROVEMENTS - HW79u Personal Music Player-law FAIL EN-50332

    5. KNOWN ISSUES: N/A

That changelog seems strange. If the purpose of the update is to meet EU audio requirements, then why is it primarily available in Russia and Asian countries. Here in Germany you can't get get and I haven't heard anything about it being released in neighboring countries either.

How about the EU product codes already having it in 1506/1507 and this is just bringing the rest of the world in line ?
